Tanzania coach, Emmanuel Amuneke is confident the Taifa Stars will make it out of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Group C.
The Nigeria ex-international Amuneke will lead the Taifa Stars to their second appearance at the AFCON, having played at the 1980 edition hosted in Nigeria.
Senegal, Algeria and Kenya will no doubt be a tough nut for Tanzania to crack but Amuneke is confident that his team make it out of the tough group.
“Everyone in the team is happy that we have qualified to the 2019 AFCON. I am happy that every Tanzanian is proud like wise in Nigeria,’ Amuneke told Footyalert
“Those that knows me can attest to this; I don’t allow little success get into my head. My focus is to get a good preparation for the team. We’ve seen the group we are in and that simply means we have to be at our best during the tournament proper.
“On paper, Group C is a difficult group, if you look at Algeria, Senegal and even Kenya you’ll realize that they’ve got loads of experience. They all have players playing at the very top but we are confident of making it out of this group.
“We’ve worked hard to secure the ticket just like every other team in the tournament has done, so we focus on going all out to first qualify from the group.
The 2019 AFCON is schedule to start from June 21- July 19
