Nigeria U17 coach, Manu Garba is glad his wards did enough to secure a ticket to the 2019 FIFA U17 World Cup ticket after 1-0 defeat of Angola in Dar es Salaam on Wednesday.
The Eaglets were involved in a nine goals thriller against Tanzania where they won 5-4 but Garba isn’t losing any sleep as he is focused on getting his boys to not just create clear cut goal opportunities but converting them.
“I’m grateful that we’ve secure a ticket to the World Cup finals, although our boys missed a lot of goal scoring chances, some of this kind of chances rarely comes in every match but we shall try to work and improve on this lapses,” Garba told Footyalert
“We’ve tried to address this issue of not converting goal scoring chance but you know these are little kids, there will need to be a lot of repetition but I know they’ll get better as each game comes. But we promise to keep addressing such issues so that they’ll get better in the next game.
The Five –time world champions Nigeria will battle Uganda in their last match in Group A in the on going 13th Africa U17 Cup of Nations, Tanzania 2019.
